Marc Arbyn obtained his MD diploma in 1984 at the University of Ghent; he obtained diplomas of Dr in tropical medicine, a MSc degree in tropical epidemiology at the Institute of Tropical Medicine in Antwerp and a PhD in medical science at the University of Ghent.
